No, the Qwickly Attendance app is for student use only. Instructors cannot use the Qwickly app to take attendance.
You may consider using the following pre-populated language on your Simple Syllabus for your students:
"Attendance via Qwickly App
This course will use the Qwickly Attendance tool to record student attendance. You will be required to download and use the free Qwickly mobile app on your smartphone via or the . At the beginning of each class session, you will be prompted to check in using the app. Your attendance record, as captured through Qwickly, will be used in accordance with the course's attendance policy. Please ensure your device is charged and the app is installed prior to our first class meeting."

Student Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely. Students can check in using their mobile devices or scan QR codes during class. For QR check-in students must download the Qwickly Attendance App and search for ÃÛÌÒ½´Methodist University.
- Make sure that you have logged into your course in Canvas using a method other than the Qwickly Attendance Mobile App at least once prior to using the app to check in. This will ensure that your enrollment is recognized.
- As a best practice, ensure that your mobile devices are on the most recent operating system (iOS or Android typically).
- Make sure you're on the most updated version of the Qwickly Attendance Mobile App. If you're ever unsure, you can delete the app from your phone altogether and re-download it.
