ÃÛÌÒ½´is voting location for Constitutional Amendment, Special and Joint Election

Dallas residents and the ÃÛÌÒ½´community are invited to vote on campus November 4.

DALLAS () – SMU’s will serve as a voter location for the Constitutional Amendment, Special and Joint Election on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The Dallas community and ÃÛÌÒ½´students, faculty and staff are encouraged to vote on campus from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center, Ballroom A and B, on election day. Dallas County registered voters can cast ballots at any .

The Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility will host a voter information table in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4 for those who have questions about the voting process.

"Voting in this election matters because the decisions on the ballot directly affect the daily lives of people across Dallas," said Rita Kirk, director of the Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility and professor of communication studies at SMU. "From schools to city services, these choices shape how our community grows and functions. Casting a ballot ensures that your voice is part of building the future of Dallas together, and it’s a testament to our duty as citizens to be active participants in our government.”
